The 21st Extremadura Wine and Olive Show (Iberovinac) in Almendralejo will this year feature 58 companies, most of them from Extremadura, while the trade mission organized by Avante will feature 11 importers.
The councilor of the Tierra de Barros Fair Institution (INFETIBA), Saúl del Amo, presented this Monday the final program for this edition, which will be inaugurated this Wednesday by the president of Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara.
The number of exhibitors has already been closed, who belong to the sectors of wine, oils, oil mill olives and auxiliary companies, and all of them are from Extremadura except one representation of the Galician Designation of Origin of Valdeorras, which will be in the pavilion of the town of A Rúa.
Regarding the commercial mission, distributors will arrive from the United States, Dubai, Morocco and Europe, especially from the United Kingdom, Germany, France and Portugal.
The exhibitors will occupy pavilions A and B of the Wine and Olive Palace, while the third pavilion, C, will be occupied by different administrations and the conference room and will be the place where parallel activities such as tastings will take place. or live cooking.
This Monday the final program of this trade show was also presented, which includes the presentation of the study on the economic and social importance of the wine sector in Extremadura, carried out by the International Financial Analysts (AFI) association; commented tastings of wine and oils and live cooking by Alejandro Hernández, chef at Versátil, the restaurant with the new Michelin star.
In addition, there will be conferences and roundtables, such as that of ‘Cava de guarda and top cava de guarda. Zoning and segmentation’, which will be presented by Jaume Domènech Ferrer, who is vocal viticulturist DOP Cava.
