The Government of Extremadura, through the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports, participates in the 25th edition of San Sebastián Gastronómika, from October 9 to 11, a congress for professionals where it will promote the ‘Extremadura Gourmet’ brand and the four Sustainable Gastronomic Routes in the region (Cheese, Oil, Iberian ‘Dehesa de Extremadura’ and Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava).
The General Directorate of Tourism of the Board will be present with a stand at the Kursaal Conference Center, where it will provide information on the offer and initiatives related to Extremaduran gastronomic tourism. In this space there will be product tastings and work meetings will be held.
Within the official program of San Sebastián Gastronómika, on October 10, from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Pepe Alba, representing the ‘Dehesa de Extremadura’ Iberian Route, and Isabel García, from the Ribera del Guadiana Wine and Cava Route , will present the Sustainable Gastronomic Routes to professionals. With its presence at this congress, considered “one of the most important in the world” in the haute cuisine sector, Extremadura aspires to position itself as a gastronomic destination based on “quality, authenticity, innovation and excellence,” reports the Board in a note.
