Extremadura publishes the approval of the standard for the production of hemp cultivation

The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Sustainable Development has published the order approving the specific technical standard for integrated production of industrial hemp cultivation, a plantation perceived as a new alternative for some areas of Extremadura where it is necessary to diversify cultivation.

This standard applies to the production, first transformation and marketing phases of industrial hemp, under the integrated production system, and contains all those practices that are mandatory for operators. This action, as indicated by the Board, is in accordance with current regulations, considering that hemp cultivation has agronomic particularities, as well as its own requirements in its handling.
