The public company Extremadura Avante has accompanied dozens of Extremaduran companies at the Organic Food Iberia 2023 Fair held at Ifema in Madrid on June 7 and 8. This fair is one of the main European events in the food sector and organic products. It is also one of the most prestigious in the world.
In this fourth edition, Organic Food Iberia has had about 100 exhibitors where some of the main organic foods of the region have been shown, such as extra virgin olive oil, fig chocolates, wines, spices, nuts or infusions. The objective of this fair is to show Spain’s positioning at a national and international level in terms of organic agricultural products. For this reason, Extremadura Avante supports Extremaduran companies to spread their brand and increase their sales figures in this event and advise the Extremaduran business community before, during and after the event.
Gales
Additionally, in Wales (United Kingdom) the ‘Point of Sale’ promotion of the ‘Alimentos de Extremadura’ and ‘Organics Extremadura’ brand is being carried out in four ‘ultrafood’ establishments for 10 consecutive days. This project, in which Extremadura Avante participates, is being carried out with the aim of promoting the promotion and marketing of Extremaduran products internationally so that they are introduced into the market.
Among the most popular foods are canned vegetables, cheeses, sausages and Iberian hams, preserves, extra virgin olive oil, vinegar, organic products, fresh chicken meat, rice, legumes, olives, tomato concentrate, wine and cava. ..
Craft market
To close the season, the ‘Food Crafts and Local Products Market’ was held on Saturday, July 1 at the Centro Vivo Hospital in Badajoz, which is held every first of the month in collaboration with the Badajoz Provincial Council.
The space hosted ten Extremaduran companies from different places in the region that exhibited their artisan products. Attendees were able to find homemade jams, nuts, cheeses and Iberian products, among other kilometer zero products.
This market has a double objective. The first, promote and publicize the products of small producers that come from small municipalities in the province, local trade and sustainable production. The second is the solidarity purpose, since every time it is celebrated, the money raised from the tickets goes to a charity organization or association.
From the Centro Vivo Hospital they report that we will have to wait until next September to enjoy the next edition of this event.
